Description
In Part 1 of the series, we ended with the twins Joyce and Judy about to reunite after living 35 years apart. Joyce had been living in Berkeley, California trying to fill the void left by her sister with work and family. Meanwhile, Judy was still a ward of the state living at an institution in Galipolis, Ohio.
During a week-long meditation retreat among the redwoods in California, Joyce realised she — now as an adult — had the power to free her sister from this nightmare prison. After talking with Judy’s social worker, she soon discovered that Judy was in fact deaf and had been since she was a small child. Joyce was also in the process of finding her daughter Anna who she gave up for adoption when she was in her early twenties.
