Description
The Shaggs were an all female American rock band who were active between the years 1968 to 1975. The band members comprised of the Wiggin sisters, Dot, Betty and Helen, and their father, Arthur Wiggin Jr, was their manager.
The sisters were not interested in music and had no prior experience playing instruments. They were basically forced to participate in the band by their father, who was compelled by a prophecy given to him by his mother.
They recorded one album called Philosophy of the World which has been labelled as either the best band or the worst band of all time. However, many decades later, The Shaggs have developed a strong cult following.
