Description
Judith Scott was an internationally recognised fibre artist and one of the most famous Outsider artists of the late 20th century. Born with Down Syndrome in 1940s American midwest, Judith’s artistic talents weren’t discovered until she was in her 40s.
Being deaf and mute means that the main source for this episode comes from her fraternal twin sister Joyce, who became her sisters legal guardian in her 30s. It was after this point that Judith was finally able to live a good life and her inner artist bloomed.
